Hello, I’m Alex, and I am the owner of ‘Forest and Fur’ in North London. 

Originally from Devon, I have spent the last decade living in London and enjoyed many years on Hampstead Heath as a professional dog walker.

As an athlete and a passionate runner, I love to exercise daily. This has inspired me to combine my high energy workouts with my love for dogs.

 

Our collective goal is complete satisfaction for our mental well-being. We encourage the dogs to run free and off lead where safe and supervised to help them maintain their natural level of fitness. As well as my usual walks I also run barefoot, just like the dogs. 

This increases my sensory perception and is great exercise for balance and stamina; Best of all, running barefoot expands my awareness bringing me into the present moment. 

So it’s just me, the dogs, and our connection with nature and the land - so dogs can be dogs.
